LED market refinement prospects for future halogen lamps

The 2011 LIGHTFAIRINTERNATIONAL 2011 was held at the Philadelphia Convention and Exhibition Center from May 17th to 19th.

The total exhibition area of this year's exhibition is basically the same as that of previous years. Among the exhibitors, PHILIPS is more prominent. In addition to traditional American companies such as COOPER, LED companies in Japan and South Korea are exhibiting high-profile this year. Japanese companies include Nichia, Citizen, Panasonic, Toshiba, Sharp, etc. Korean companies include Samsung, LG, Seoul Semiconductor, XLED, etc. The booth is very mysterious and is in a fully enclosed form.

Chinese exhibitors are similar to previous years. LED products are exhibited as main products. Indoor lighting products are more than outdoor lighting products. Since the United States will ban the sale of incandescent lamps of more than 100w in 2012, halogen lamps have further market opportunities. OSRAMSYLVANIA launched their halogen lamp instead of incandescent and other plans, as follows:

In 2012, a 72W halogen lamp was used instead of a 100W incandescent lamp; in 2013, a 53W halogen lamp was used instead of a 75W incandescent lamp; in 2014, a 43W halogen lamp was used instead of a 60W incandescent lamp; a 29W halogen lamp was used instead of a 40W incandescent lamp; these halogen lamps replaced incandescent lamps. The lamp is expected to save 30% of electricity.

In the famous home improvement market HOMEDEPT in the United States, the author saw that the government or the power company continued to give CFL subsidies. The price of the 4W 13W spiral CFL is USD2.85, and the price is USD7.95. The consumer needs to pay USD3.97.

LEDRetrolit products are also available in the market. The brand is similar to the bubble price of about 20 US dollars. Similar to the Japanese market, PHILIPS won the award price of USD 39.97. Most LED lighting products are produced in China.

Halogen lamps made of bulbs are currently popular in the market. The 8 SYLVANIA72W halogen bulbs are priced at US$12. Manufacturers are optimistic about the market prospects for halogen lamps that will ban incandescent lamps in the next few years.
